BoxFresh Fitness studio is a professional and friendly studio designed specifically for group exercise classes for all ages and levels of fitness, based in the easily accessible village of Dry Drayton, Cambridge and surrounding villages.

After a fantastic day of completing my beginner’s self-defence introductory course I'd like to say a big thank you to Lisa, who is an amazing instructor. I've taken away with me today some valuable knowledge of how and why I may be put in a situation where I may need to defend myself, and most importantly how to (hopefully!) prevent it from occurring in the first place. It's been a realisation for me today that it’s not about 'winning' it's about survival.
Being someone who struggles with confidence this course has really helped me come out of my shell by making me face situations that are outside of my comfort zone.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, not just as a means to learn practical self-defence but to learn how to reduce the risk of being in a position where it is required in the first place. Lisa is a superb instructor who gets really involved and tailors moves that suit the individual, making self-defence fun!
Really enjoyed the afternoon.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Lisa for the session on Sunday. I went to the session slightly apprehensive after a recent assault in which I froze. By the end of the session I left feeling confident and knowing I would react differently if I was ever in the same position. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has ever been in the same position but also to anyone who feels the need to feel safer when out on their own. I learnt a lot from both the theory and practical. Thank you!
Lisa Logan taught a class of about 20 Trinity students beginners self-defence. It was incredibly helpful and all the students found it beneficial. The theory lesson was really good in educating the students about how to de-escalate an attack, and then the two physical lessons were great at embedding immediate responses to attacks. I am definitely going to work with Lisa and the Combat Academy again, she was brilliant! Lisa is enthusiastic, helpful, funny, and amazing (I could go on!) I highly recommend everyone trying this out.

I have been working with Lisa for nearly a year through our enhanced Change 4 Life project. Lisa has been key in the delivery of this to the children at the Vine Primary School, her knowledge of children with a lack of self-esteem and self-confidence has proved to be a great benefit to the children. Lisa is now trained to be a Change 4 Life Mentor which enables her to speak to other members of staff within the Vine and to go in to others schools and support them to make the most of the Change 4 Life clubs. I would highly recommend Lisa, she has a great way with the children giving them the skills to be confident individuals whom believe in themselves.
At Impington Village College, we have a vision to make young women aware of potential dangers and how they may be avoided as they move forward and potentially further away from home. After searching in many avenues we found Lisa Logan from Combat Academy Cambridge. Lisa is professional in her approach, fully compliant with safeguarding and built an academic programme suited to the aim of the course. Students have praised Lisa’s approach – they feel engaged, confident and safe to explore scenarios. I would recommend Lisa and Combat Academy as a provider of this type of course. She is able to adapt to the news of the school and students very well, following a designed programme.
Highly recommended....I was nervous before my first session with Lisa as I wasn't sure I'd be fit enough and be too overweight to keep up but I needn't have worried. The group has people of all abilities and Lisa's sessions enable you to work at your own level whilst still pushing you to do your personal best. She has an energy and enthusiasm that motivates you to work to your maximum and really enjoy yourself (yes really!) and now I look forward to going each week and the session just flies by. My fitness had improved and I can see the difference in how much more I can do now. Come along and experience for yourself...it's worth it.
Lisa's classes are brilliant. I am not super fit but get a really good work out with a great bunch of people. Not cliquey just a nice bunch so you fit in from day 1. Lisa is fun and encouraging and gives good alternatives to those with injuries or weaknesses. Highly recommended.
I recently went along to Lisa's 3-hour boxathon...it was such a great experience and one of the toughest workouts I've done! Lisa's coaching is great and my boxing technique has improved. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, hard workout in a friendly and safe environment!
I have really enjoyed our sessions Lisa, you have pushed my limits in our 1-1's but only when I was ready and encouraged me to always give a bit more where I could. I have been amazed and delighted with my progress and I can now say I have a core! ???? I would never work that hard consistently in the gym or in a class. The group sessions are good fun too and we all encourage each other and keep ourselves motivated and have a laugh along the way and I love the Boxercise. A great combo.

Absolutely fantastic (albeit tough!) kettlebells class taught by Michelle Good on Tuesday evenings! Always feel it for a few days after mind you but I could really tell a difference even after a few classes. Lots of variety in the workouts and great for those wanting to strengthen their core and fat burning at the same time. Would 100% recommend! X
Loving Boxfresh. I recently had a little one, at my heaviest and having not been to the gym for a long time, I actually look forward to working out again. They have a brilliant range of classes and the instructors are really lovely, helpful and motivating. Very impressed with value for money with no contract or joining fee and to top it off I can even take little one with me. They have an awesome, safe, little play area in the corner of the studio with so much to keep the small ones happy and comfy. Really couldn't ask for more
Fantastic boogie bounce birthday party for my 6 year old daughter. Very well organised by Lisa, an amazing studio with lots of space. Perfect for a party with all the required facilities. Children loved it all - the trampolines, the disco, the games, the candy bar! Feedback from the children 'best party ever!'
I have been working with Lisa for a while now, mostly boxercise and boogie bounce. Must say after not being a big fan of exercise before I now really enjoy the classes! Lisa is a great motivator but does so at your level knowing how much she can push you to help you achieve your goals. Looking forward to trying different classes at her studio(which is fab),and pushing myself a bit more. So give it a try I'm sure you won't regret it! I haven't!
