Boxfresh Fitness Studio is a brand new venue, based in the easily accessible village of Dry Drayton, serving Cambridge and surrounding areas.

We’re proud to deliver hugely popular fitness classes including Boxercise, Boogie Bounce & Self-Defence, all taught by a team of industry leading instructors.

Boxfresh Fitness, founded by Lisa Logan in 2015, has been successfully providing Boxercise, Boogie Bounce & Self-Defence classes in and around Cambridge for the last 2 years.

Following the continued success of Boxfresh, we have been fortunate enough to gain an increasing number of loyal customers. To enable our business to prosper, we’ve decided to move into our own purpose built fitness studio, enabling us to put on an array of weekly classes to suit our customers, new and existing alike.

A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER:

“I opened a group fitness studio because it became quite apparent that lots of people feel uncomfortable working out in a gym environment where people feel vulnerable with gym worshippers pumping iron admiring themselves in the mirror constantly and the mundaneness of walking in seeing the same machinery and doing the same workout 2/3 times a week. I want to target those people that love to work out but also those that want to lose weight in a fun, motivational environment where everyone is part of the Boxfresh family no matter what size, shape, ability or disability.  We will adapt programmes to suit everyone including children. There are classes for parents and babies, over 50’s, and kids. A play area is provided for children who parents struggle to keep fit because there is no childcare facility. My studio is warm, welcoming and open to all and there is variety in all classes. Choreography changes every 3/4 weeks to keep it fresh and fun and with the group of amazing and professional instructors every person who walks through the door will feel that they are in safe hands and motivated to achieve their end goal ‘ begin with the end in mind'”

LISA LOGAN

So, about me? Where do I start? First of all, the simple stuff. I’m 40, have a lovely husband and three even lovelier children, aged nine, five and two.

I worked in sales management recruitment for a majority of my working life, but never felt truly fulfilled. I liked the fact that I was able to help others – in some instances totally change their lives – and this was the aspect of the job I loved the most and wanted to take with me into a new career.

I have always been a keen runner and regularly participate in 10k courses and numerous obstacle races; I also wanted to make use of my psychology degree and use both of these passions to help others, especially children.

MICHELLE GOOD

I have been in the fitness industry now for 3 years, I feel very passionate about what I do and love helping others.

I was working in retail before this, which was long hours and not very rewarding. I had my second child, now aged 5 and found going back to work a bit difficult. At the time I suffered with very bad anxiety, which in turn led me to exercise. Since then I have never looked back, I can defiantly say exercise has changed my life!

Due to my love and passion of exercise, I decided I would love to help others, starting  with simple exercise classes I have slowly  grown from there.

I love my high intensity training and kettlebells, I must work up a sweat, some people call me a cardio junkie. 🙂 Although I have just started teaching PiYO which I must admit I love.

In my spare time I do love to train myself, read and spend time with my family and friends. I have ran 2 marathons now and numerous half marathons, 10ks and 5k races. I love giving myself new challenges and goals to accomplish. Teaching my children anything is possible if you put your mind to it!

MICHELLE MAWBY

I have been a fully qualified Personal Trainer for 7 years and I am also qualified in Pre and Post Natal exercise and nutrition. I recently gained my Boogie Bounce Instructor qualification.

I love to help other people achieve their goals with weight and fitness.

I have always enjoyed fitness myself and try to workout as much as I can.

My biggest achievement is taking part in the Great North Run in 2012.

I am a mum to my 2 year old daughter Ava so I spend a lot of my spare time looking after her. When I do get time to myself I enjoy shopping and socialising with friends.

TARA NEWTON

I am a qualified Personal Trainer, Bootcamp and Pilates Instructor working in the local community. I love supporting people to reach their goals and increasing confidence. I am passionate about teaching fitness and enjoy running, weights and Pilates.

PENNY GRAY-MELE
Hi there!  A bit about myself, I am actually a handbag designer who lived for many years in New York.
The demands of big city living and working long hours can really strain your health and for me, the weight piled on.  Anxiety and low self esteem soon took a grip and so for my family’s sake, I began to look for change.
After my second child, I took my first Piloxing class and well the rest is history as well as my job and my wardrobe from loosing nearly 3st! Piloxing is a cardio HIIT fusion of Pilates,  Boxing and Dance.
I now am trained to teach Piloxing and Piloxing Barre mostly to ensure the program goes wherever I go and in 2014 I moved to the U.K bringing my classes to the surrounding villages where I live.  Teaching is my new love (I still design) but it’s meeting and instructing all the wonderful people that keeps me passionate about my new found lifestyle.  Other forms of exercise I do is running and long distance swimming in the open waters, none of which I could achieve five years ago! I also love cooking from allotment to plate with my kids and bringing them up in this gorgeous part of the world.
MICHAELA D'AGATI

Michaela joined Boxfresh Fitness in May as a level 3 fitness Pilate instructor and is a highly valued member of our fitness team!

CARLA BENNETT

I manage a lettings agency in the week and in my spare time love to read a good novel and indulge in a glass of red wine (maybe some dark chocolate and a nice muscle soak bath – timeout), try new restaurants (major foodie!) and spend time with family and friends – I enjoy cooking new meals for them and hosting dinner parties. I live in Cambourne with my partner, We’re massive animal lovers and have two cats and a hamster J I also spend a lot of time with two labradors at my office.

I try to participate in as many other group exercise classes as I can, variety is the spice of life! And any workout with great music gets me really motivated.

My fitness journey started at home (on the wii lol) then progressed to a local gym, I really enjoyed the buzz from participating in group exercise classes and thought “Hey – I could do this, spread this feeling of accomplishment and confidence boosting to others!” So I did. Making people feel good makes me feel good J fun!

I became a fully accredited Zumba fitness instructor in December 2013. Since then, I have also trained to teach the following group exercise classes; Zumba Toning, Zumba Step and now STRONG by Zumba.

I have been teaching this variety of classes in gyms and venues in and around Cambridge. Keeping motivational levels high, great music and safe strengthening movements mean we all get the excellent workout we came for! No matter what your fitness abilities
